Job summary

Leisure Living is seeking staff for dining services to prepare and serve meals, maintain quality and safety standards, and provide excellent resident-focused service. Positions include both part-time and full-time shifts across morning and afternoon blocks.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and accommodating resident dietary needs. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least six months of scratch-cooking experience in a commercial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months cooking/baking experience in a commercial setting preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals based on pre-planned menus ensuring nutrition and balance.
• Consider resident preferences and food safety standards.
• Ensure pleasing plate presentation for all meals.
• Offer and prepare resident special diets; respect resident choices.
• Complete dining room service including setup, service and cleanup.
• Assist with inventory and maintain supplies in kitchenettes.
• Follow sanitation schedules for kitchen, equipment and dining areas.
• Assist with event preparations and resident interactions.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors.
