Job summary

Valley-Mental-Health is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and the facility's policies. The role involves following planned menus, ensuring sanitary practices, and maintaining safety and confidentiality for residents and staff.

You will work under the Director of Food Services, report to shift requirements, and support dietary services by handling special diets and meal preparations as directed.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed all ServSafe educational requirements.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Facility’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator, Director of Nursing or Charge Nurse on Duty.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignity.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and sanitary regulations.
