Job summary

Atria Senior Living in San Francisco is seeking a seasoned Food & Beverage leader to manage the department within budget and drive revenue while delivering first-class dining experiences for residents and guests.

You will oversee hiring, training, and development of staff, plan menus and events, ensure food safety standards, and collaborate with marketing and operations to meet revenue goals and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Food and Beverage operations, preferably in a hotel.
• 2+ years of food service management experience.
• Serve Safe or equivalent food safety certification.
• Working knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Experience in banquets or special events planning.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Forecast revenues and expenses within the department and manage to budget.
• Identify revenue and cost opportunities and potential problems.
• Hire, train, develop, and evaluate department staff.
• Coordinate cross-department operations to meet business objectives and guest expectations.
• Provide high levels of customer service and create superior dining experiences.
• Plan, write, and execute menus based on resident preferences and budget.
• Ensure adherence to the Atria Quality Enhancement Program.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing for community initiatives.
• Plan, prepare, and execute menus, events, banquets, and themed meals.
• Oversee liquor license and liquor revenue where applicable.
• Oversee Bistro operations including revenue, expense, labor, and guest experience.
• Monitor service quality and respond to guest feedback promptly.
• May perform other duties as needed.
