Job summary

Waterford at Baytown, a Sonida Senior Living community, seeks a Culinary Services Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in a caring, organized setting. You will assist the Culinary Services Director to keep the Dining Services department efficient and compliant with sanitation standards.

The role requires a high school education, a food service sanitation certificate, and experience with large-volume meals. Some supervisory experience is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation for large groups desired.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve attractive, nutritious meals in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Assist the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized Dining Services department.
• Prepare meals for assigned shifts and ensure service quality and cleanliness.
• Maintain dining room and kitchen standards, including customer service and hygiene.
• Clean after preparation and service; manage work area, pots, and equipment.
• Ensure leftovers are covered, labeled, dated, and stored properly.
