Job summary

Oaks At Grove Park Llc in Columbus, GA seeks a Cook to assist with preparation, serving, and handling of food in accordance with regulations and the facility's dietary program. The cook maintains clean dining areas and assists with receiving, rotation, and storage of products.

You will cook for residents with individualized diets, ensure timely, appetizing meals, and support events. The role requires reading and speaking English, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to work with older adults;

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for large groups.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Desire to work with older adults; friendly, caring disposition.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Must have a physical exam by a licensed physician and a negative drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation and Dining Service: cook and serve food per nutritional guidelines and resident diets.
• Deliver food on time and in a pleasant manner according to the Oaks Anytime Dining Program.
• Provide quality meals and snacks, accommodating special diets as directed.
• Present food in an appetizing and attractive manner.
• Assist residents with eating using adaptive equipment when needed.
• Notify supervisor of malfunctioning kitchen equipment.
• Wash dishes and follow the cleaning schedule.
• Maintain compliance with local health regulations and facility policies.
• Work in a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
