Job summary

The Carriages is hiring a Dining Services Partner (Cook/Sous Chef) for our Senior Living Community in Jonesboro, GA. You will prepare and serve meals, follow menus, and maintain sanitary kitchen and dining areas to ensure high-quality resident dining experiences.

We offer full-time employment with benefits and a team-focused culture dedicated to compassionate service for our residents. A high school diploma and prior cooking experience are required, with CFPM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Compassion for elderly and desire to help others.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as sous chef or cook.
• CFPM certification desirable.
• Full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test and TB testing required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items and serve Residents within scheduled time.
• Follow menu cycle and note changes or substitutions.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain food quality and sanitation of prep area.
• Keep a safe, neat working environment.
• Know Resident food needs and preferences.
• Account for staff, Resident and guest meals daily.
• Maintain meal service records.
• Observe issues with food service and report appropriately.
• Observe Resident status changes and communicate them.
• Follow all rules, policies and procedures.
• Record Resident information as required.
• Avoid waste and protect supplies and equipment.
