Franklin Park Alamo Heights in San Antonio, TX is seeking a cook to join our elegant retirement community kitchen. You will contribute to daily meal preparation, ensuring fresh, from-scratch dishes and high standards of quality.

Join a team that values residents, delivers exceptional dining experiences, and supports special events. You’ll work a rotating schedule and have opportunities to develop menus with the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Scratch cooking experience in restaurant, private club, or retirement community.
• ServSafe sanitation certification required.
• Flexibility to modify schedule for vacations and events.
• Experience in all areas of a commercial kitchen operation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Reads, writes, speaks and understands English.
• Knowledge of special event catering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
• Assist Executive Chef with menu and recipe development
• Assist in receiving, rotation and storage of products
• Identify and report food/supply needs
• Ensure sanitation/infection control regulations are followed and train staff in garnishing and presentation
• Prepare salads, soups, and entr�es with care and quality
• Assist in nightly clean up and labeling
