Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook for our Abilene, TX senior living community to provide safe, high-quality meals for residents. You will help ensure timely service, sanitation, and presentation, while following recipes and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities include breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, stocking, and collaboration with the Food Service Director. Requires at least one year of cooking experience and Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of cooking experience (including some short order cooking).
• Must possess Serv-Safe certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures efficient, timely, and friendly service to residents and staff.
• Maintains proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation/presentation.
• Reads and follows recipes to ensure consistency of the product.
• Prepares and serves food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned.
• Assists with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations.
• Works with a team and complies with community standards.
