Job summary

Sagora Lyndale Abilene Memory Care in Abilene, TX is seeking a friendly Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals for residents across independent living, assisted living and memory care, while upholding safety and service standards.

You’ll monitor stock, keep kitchens clean, and help train culinary teammates. ServSafe certification and a state food handler permit are required, along with strong communication and a talent for creating diet-specific dishes.

Qualifications

• One year+ experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Must hold ServSafe and Food Handler’s permit.
• Ability to prepare specialized diet dishes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items.
• Monitor stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Assist with training of all Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in friendly and courteous manner.
