Job summary

Volante of Hanover is seeking a Cook to join our team and help provide tasty, nutritious meals for residents. You will prepare diverse dishes, follow dietary needs, and ensure high quality in presentation and taste.

Responsibilities include engaging residents, maintaining hygiene, and following recipes and menus. A High School diploma is required with 2+ years of kitchen experience; Serv-SAFE is preferred; First Aid may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of experience with food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation.
• Read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly.
• SERV-SAFE certification preferred but not required.
• May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes according to the daily menu.
• Follow dietary needs and ensure meals are tasty and nutritious.
• Maintain high quality and appearance standards for each dish.
• Engage residents with friendly conversations to ensure satisfaction.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary; clean equipment and surfaces.
