The Mission at Agua Fria Senior Living Community in Peoria, AZ is hiring Cooks to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents and guests, while upholding cleanliness and state food regulations.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and be available to work weekends. A compassionate approach to caring for the elderly is essential. Shifts include AM schedules, with opportunities for progression and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly (55 and over).

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food in accordance with the daily menu planner, using company standardized recipes, in a timely manner.
• Performs a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review details of daily menu.
• Works the food line during mealtime.
• Plates food in an attractive manner and ensures garnishes are prepared and served with appropriate foods.
• Keeps work area and serving line equipment clean and adheres to sanitation schedules.
• Ensures proper food temperature is maintained and recorded.
• Keeps stock rooms, coolers & freezers clean and food supply stocks rotated.
• Minimizes food waste through proper storage and recycling techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
