Job summary

Grace Management, Inc. is seeking a Cook for our Inspirations senior living community to prepare wholesome, nutritious meals served at the proper temperature. The Cook reports to the Dining Services Director in a clean, safe kitchen.

Candidates need a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of cooking experience in healthcare or hospitality. Serv-Safe is preferred. English literacy and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds are required; strong teamwork and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years cooking experience preferably within healthcare or hospitality.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and performing related duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wholesome, nutritious meals at proper temperatures.
• Follow recipes, monitor temperatures, and control portions and costs.
• Label, date, and store foods; maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen.
• Assist in inventory and storage; report equipment and safety issues.
