Job summary

Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington is hiring a Cook / Dietary Cook to join the dietary and healthcare food service team. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents in a skilled nursing setting, following menus, dietary requirements, and safety standards.

The role involves working with the dietary team to ensure meals are prepared safely, accurately, and on schedule, with opportunities to handle modified-texture and special-diet meals while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking and institutional food service.
• Nursing home or senior living experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks according to menus and recipes.
• Cook meals for residents in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and meal schedules.
• Prepare meals for special diets and dietary requirements.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper food handling.
• Coordinate with dietary and nursing teams as needed.
• Assist with inventory and receiving food deliveries.
