Job summary

Sonida Senior Living in Marietta, GA is seeking a Cook or Chef to prepare attractive, nutritious meals and ensure sanitary service in a welcoming community setting. You'll work closely with the Culinary Services team, contribute to dining operations, and support residents with quality meals and service while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Prior experience in senior living or hospitality is preferred; a Food Service Sanitation Certificate per state requirements is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents, including meal service, customer service, and cleanliness of dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintain work areas, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated, and stored properly.
