Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous cooking experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious and served as per dietary requirements.
• Meal Service: Ensure timely serving with quality, portions, and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Keep kitchen clean, sanitary, and properly stocked.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and staff; assist in training new kitchen staff.
• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory and report shortages or order needs.
• Resident Engagement: Respond to dietary requests and preferences to ensure satisfaction.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
