Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in food service.
• Knowledge of high-end institutional food service including nutrition and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning menus and preparing food following standardized recipes and food safety regulations.
• Maintain high standards of quality food production, nutrition, and portion control.
• Maintain proper sanitation and safety in food preparation areas.
• Assist in cleaning cooking areas and kitchen equipment.
• Consult with the Supervisor on menu planning, food preparation, and therapeutic diets.
• Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
