Qualifikationen

• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, senior living, or related food service setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and production schedules.
• Ability to prepare meals for residents with different dietary needs and restrictions.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items as required in a kitchen environment.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and production schedules.
• Ensure meals are prepared on time and meet quality and presentation standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and kitchen safety requirements.
• Prepare meals that accommodate residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Review menus and production sheets before meal preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.
• Label, date, rotate, and store food and ingredients properly.
• Monitor food temperatures and complete required documentation.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and maintaining food supplies.
• Monitor inventory and notify supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Work closely with Dining Services staff to support smooth meal service.
• Assist with special events and resident programs as needed.
• Complete additional kitchen and food service duties as assigned.
