Vantage Point Retirement Living is hiring a Cook to prepare meals for our senior residents. You will follow standardized recipes, coordinate with service hours, and ensure food quality and safe storage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of job-related experience in food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items utilizing standardized recipes
• Determine food and supplies needed
• Coordinate meal production with service hours
• Monitor food items for temperature, taste, and quality
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food items per the menu cycle and standardized recipes
• Oversee proper food storage procedures
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties
• Maintain food safety equipment records and food safety temperature records
• Practice all safety and loss prevention measures
• Perform other duties as assigned
