Job summary

Clearwater Living is seeking a Cook for its premier luxury senior living community in Reno. The Cook will prepare high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff according to recipes and menus, ensuring taste, nutrition, and dietary requests are met.

Responsibilities include kitchen sanitation, proper food temperatures, plate presentation, collaboration with the Chef on menu changes, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items in accordance with planned menus and recipes, ensuring meals are appetizing, nutritious, and accommodate dietary requests.
• Ensure all food is served at the correct temperature and properly charted.
• Maintain proper plate presentation.
• Coordinate with the Chef on menu changes or substitutions.
• Keep food storage areas clean and organized at all times.
• Follow governmental, sanitary, and dietitian regulations and policies.
• Handle food orders promptly upon arrival.
• Dispose of food and waste per policies.
• Label and date leftovers; store properly.
• Record temperatures of refrigeration and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean; supervise dishwashers when needed.
• Prepare upcoming menu items and ensure stock pulled as per recipes.
• Safely store and use kitchen inventory; report issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold Clearwater Living standards.
• Present a professional image, wear uniform and name tag.
• Represent Clearwater Living values daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
