Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a Cook in La Crosse, Wisconsin to prepare nutritious and appealing meals for residents. This part-time role covers the evening shift from 1:30pm to 7:00pm, with varying schedule days, within Benedictine Living Community-La Crosse.

Ideal candidates have experience in healthcare food service, familiarity with therapeutic diets (IDDSI preferred), and strong time management and people skills to support our senior residents and team in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare food service preferred (hospital, LTC, rehab, assisted living).
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets/IDDSI preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Quantity food production experience.

Responsibilities

• Create menus that drive resident meal satisfaction.
• Serves meals based on residents' preferences.
• Promotes food safety and sanitation.
• Actively participates in culinary trainings and onboarding new hires.
