Milestone Retirement Communities is seeking a Cook to support dining services for residents, reporting to the Director of Culinary Services. You will prepare and serve meals that meet nutritional standards and ensure a safe, clean kitchen environment while contributing to resident satisfaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and training of culinary staff, with opportunities to impact daily dining experiences for older adults in a supportive, caring setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of food service experience; three years preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit as required by state.
• First Aid certification required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is safely stored, cooked, and served at proper temperatures.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment, including equipment and prep areas.
• Assist in training and mentoring culinary staff.
• Monitor and respond to resident preferences and satisfaction.
• Uphold safety and health standards, including food safety compliance.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Report elder maltreatment or abuse as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
