Job summary

Chateau Retirement Communities is seeking a cook to join our team in Renton, WA. You will prepare quality meals for residents, accommodating dietary needs while maintaining high food safety standards. The role requires reading tickets, following menus, and working with minimal supervision.

The position is full-time with a Tue-Sat schedule. Prior experience with the elderly is preferred, and a valid food handler's permit is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with elderly preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend order tickets, menus, and recipes in English.
• Valid food handler's permit.
• Pass a Department of Social and Health Services background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality meals with minimal supervision.
• Follow dietary menus and special dietary requests.
• Maintain food quality and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to cleanliness, storage, and equipment guidelines.
• Assist with catering or special events when needed.
• Assist with receiving and stocking orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services Director.
