Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Chesapeake, VA seeks an Executive Director to lead a senior living community, overseeing planning, programs, policies and administration to meet occupancy goals and ensure resident satisfaction.

You will direct marketing and public relations, supervise staff, hire and train, and ensure compliance with state regulations and the company business plan, including coordination of resident services.

Qualifications

• Meets current State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities.
• Minimum two years post-secondary education; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' supervisory experience in senior housing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing, and compassionate personality.
• Demonstrated integrity, maturity and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• General well-being and health of residents; coordination of care and services.
• Oversight of nursing and care staff; ensure proper staffing.
• Model core values; maintain company image in the community.
• Active recruitment and coaching of top performers.
• Handle all paperwork required by regulatory bodies and corporate standards.
• Participate in direct marketing and staff recruitment.
• Act as responsible party before, during, and after licensing inspections.
• Ability to drive company vehicle.
