Merrill Gardens in Santa Cruz, CA is hiring a Senior Living Caregiver for the PM shift to support residents with daily living activities and care. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork in a vibrant senior living community.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by the state agency or the ability to obtain.
• A CNA license or two years of previous experience as a caregiver.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, meals, laundry, general care).
• Manage medication as allowed by state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed (chart by exception).

Actual pay rate within the stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
