Job summary

Merrill Gardens at Sherwood is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide respectful, personalized care for residents in a Montessori-Inspired Memory Care Community focused on dignity and independence. You will engage residents through meaningful activities, assist with daily living tasks, and support memory care residents with stability and compassion.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
