MorningStar Senior Living in Billings, Montana is seeking an Assisted Living Coordinator to lead resident care operations, hire and supervise caregiving staff, and coordinate daily activities within the community.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to interpret negotiated service plans, monitor resident conditions, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Salary ranges from $72,000 to $74,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Understand standard techniques used in providing personal services for residents and caring for equipment and supplies.
• Awareness of assessment process and development/execution of negotiated care plans.
• Manage staffing needs by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of care managers.
• Assist Business Office Manager with new hire paperwork, attendance logs, time sheets, evaluations, and staffing budget.
• Identify staff educational needs including orientation training, weekly mini-modules, and mandatory in-service meetings.
• Ensure care staff are educated about residents' negotiated service plans and task sheets.
• Report symptoms and changes to Wellness Director.
• Maintain accurate resident records and Daily Log, report changes to Wellness Director.
• Monitor infection control guidelines and ensure gloves/protective supplies are available.
• Prepare and administer medications according to procedure.
• Develop/maintain/update resident negotiated service plans and assessments.
• Schedule change of condition assessments and bi-annual meetings with residents/families.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding care needs and counseling as needed.
• Oversee regular resident suite checks and respond to emergency alert systems.
• Report incidents of suspected resident abuse and complete incident reports within 24 hours.
• Complete Incident Tracker monthly with QA/safety committee oversight.
• Record resident weights and vital signs at move-in/hospital return/monthly.
• Direct caregivers to support activities and provide one-on-one time as needed.
