Job summary

The RMR Group in Newton, MA seeks an Associate Asset Manager, Senior Living, to support nationwide senior living portfolios through financial and operational analytics. You will monitor occupancy, labor, budgets, and capital plans while advancing asset value and investment performance with third-party operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, hospitality, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of asset management, investment analysis, real estate, finance, accounting, consulting, senior living, or healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of senior living operations or senior living real estate metrics preferred.
• Working knowledge of financial statements, budgets, and financial models.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with ability to translate data into actionable conclusions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; Power BI experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly financial statements, operating reports, NOI, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
• Support development and monitoring of operator budgets and forecasts.
• Review forecasts and occupancy, rate, labor, and revenue assumptions.
• Monitor labor costs, hours per occupied unit, and staffing models.
• Track state survey results, licensure, resident satisfaction, and risk trends.
• Assist with capital planning, renovations, and asset improvement initiatives.
• Prepare portfolio performance reporting and investor materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams on KPI dashboards and reporting tools.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, and operator transitions as needed.
• Travel 20–25% for site visits and industry events.
