Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Certified Activity Director in Frederick, MD to plan, coordinate and present engaging programs for residents. Your role supports physical, mental and social well-being and ensures activities are well-presented by staff.

You will lead the Activities department, manage budgets, and collaborate with the care team to enhance residents' daily lives. Valid certification is required and prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in an Activity Director role in long-term care.
• Activities Director Certification (Certified Recreational Therapist) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and present a varied schedule of meaningful activities.
• Prepare monthly newsletter and calendar for residents and families.
• Educate and encourage staff to connect with residents.
• Compile biographies for residents.
• Maintain activity inventory within budget.
• Lead department policy, budget development and expenditure monitoring.
