Job summary

Proctor Place is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and lead engaging activity programs for residents. You will work to support spiritual, emotional, recreational, and social needs, aiming to enhance quality of life and participation.

Responsibilities include planning monthly calendars, documenting resident responses, and coordinating with staff, residents, and families. Full-time position with weekend/holiday coverage and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and leading activity programs for seniors
• Ability to chart resident notes in compliance with IDPH/ COBRA
• Team collaboration with staff, residents and family members
• Commitment to enhancing quality of life for residents

Responsibilities

• Help plan, organize and lead activity programs for health care and independent residents.
• Chart health care residents' notes to reflect the activity provided and resident response with goals per IDPH/ COBRA standards.
• Participate in care plans for health care residents as requested by the Director.
• Foster interaction between staff, residents and family members.
• Compile a monthly social program calendar and distribute to residents and families.
• Interface with all personnel as appropriate.
