Job summary

Seneca Place Nursing & Rehab is seeking an Activities Assistant to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.

Responsibilities include using diverse activity models such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy to engage residents, decorating for events, posting monthly calendars, supporting resident activity participation, and recording attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.
• SRNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming.
• Lead one-to-one, small group, and large group activities.
• Utilize models such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy for individualized programming.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
