Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and deliver engaging activities and fitness programming for residents. You will support the Life Enrichment Director, assess residents’ interests, and foster socialization and wellbeing inside and outside the community.

You will coordinate events, manage supplies, and promote a positive, energetic atmosphere for seniors, working with care staff to transport residents and welcome new residents to the community.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and conducting group activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Experience working with seniors and memory impairment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director with coordinating and facilitating activities and events for residents to promote creativity, well-being, socialization and fun.
• Encourage resident socialization and participation in activities and events to foster a positive community environment.
• Maintain inventory checklist of supplies and materials for Life Enrichment programs.
• Coordinate the community volunteer program and engage volunteers in events and activities.
• Provide administrative support to the Life Enrichment team as assigned.
• Welcome new residents during move-in and help decorate spaces to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Work with care staff to transport residents to activities and events and assist with driving when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director.
