Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Newtown, CT is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle Assistant to implement therapeutic programs that enhance residents' quality of life. You will help deliver social, physical, cognitive and emotional activities, coordinating with the Lifestyle Director and the Activities team.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, maintaining schedules, and ensuring outstanding service to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college in recreation, gerontology or related field or two years of full-time experience with adults.
• Passion for working with senior population and improving quality of life.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents, families, and visitors.
• Lead activities appropriate for all levels and coordinate events quarterly.
• Maintain monthly schedules and communicate staffing concerns to the Lifestyle Director.
• Attend associate meetings and support the Lifestyle Program as needed.
