Job summary

Springpoint Living at Manalapan is seeking a dedicated Activities Aide to support therapeutic programs for residents in a senior living community. The role involves assisting with planning and leading activities, preparing materials, and coordinating with the activities director to meet resident needs.

The position requires a high school diploma, possible certification in activity therapy, and 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from the National Council for Activity Professionals or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation preferred.
• 2 years experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing, developing, and directing all therapeutic activities for groups or individuals to meet the needs of the residents.
• Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic activities.
• Prepare supplies, lists of participants and schedules for each activity. Escort residents to and from groups. Conduct group activities.
• Keep a daily record of types and number of activities in which each resident participated.
• Attend all scheduled educational offerings pertaining to Patient Activities and Resident Care.
• Assist with outings.
