Job summary

echrshealth in Michigan is seeking an Activities Assistant to help plan and organize activities for residents and support the Activities Department.

You will assist with resident assessments, care plans and daily programs, transport residents to activities, help with meals and crafts, and perform basic clerical tasks under the Activity Director to promote engagement and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must have a genuine interest in geriatrics.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in routine.

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning and organizing activities for all residents.
• Through planned activities programs and other interventions will encourage residents to achieve their highest level of psycho social interaction.
• Under direction of the Activity Director will implement individual interventions as outlined in the residents plan of care.
• Completes assigned residents activity assessments, care plans, discharge surveys, documentation and other record keeping tasks.
• Run daily activity programs, transporting residents to and from the activity.
• Assist residents in facility van to Doctor's appointments.
• Responsible for maintaining established activity standards and policies of the facility.
