Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Morris Plains, New Jersey, is seeking an Activities Assistant to lead daily activities and enrichment programs for residents. You will help plan and execute events, encourage participation, and maintain organized activity spaces to promote well-being.

As part of the team, you will prepare calendars and newsletters, escort residents, support volunteers, and document participation per regulatory guidelines, ensuring a safe, engaging community experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead small group activities.
• Valid driver’s license where applicable.
• Senior living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
