Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking an Activities Assistant to help plan and lead daily activities, events and enrichment programs for residents. You will encourage participation, prepare calendars and newsletters, and assist in escorting residents to programs, while keeping spaces organized and compliant with guidelines.

The role is based on-site in a senior living setting, requiring strong communication and organizational skills and a valid driver’s license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
