Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking an Activities & Events Coordinator in Hamilton, NJ. You will assist in planning and overseeing a calendar of resident activities designed to support physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

You will coordinate and lead programs from setup through cleanup, working with residents and staff to create engaging experiences and foster a warm, welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• One to three years of experience preferred in assisted living, long-term care, or senior population exposure.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with residents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and overseeing a diverse calendar of resident activities and events that support well-being.
• Coordinate and lead community programs, ensuring seamless execution from setup through cleanup.
• Partner with team members and residents to create meaningful experiences that promote engagement and joy.
• Encourage resident participation, adapting activities to varied interests and abilities.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and organization of events, with timely communication and preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.
