Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Stuart, FL is seeking an Activities & Events Coordinator to help develop and oversee resident services, foster engagement, and ensure events run smoothly within a warm, welcoming community.

You will plan a diverse calendar of activities addressing physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being, coordinating programs from setup to cleanup, and collaborating with residents and staff to create meaningful experiences that spark joy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• One to three years of experience preferred in assisted living, long-term care, or senior population exposure.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with residents.
• Ability to inspire, encourage, and motivate older adults.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and overseeing a diverse calendar of resident activities and events that support residents’ well-being.
• Coordinate and lead community programs from setup through clean-up.
• Partner with team members and residents to create meaningful experiences that promote engagement and joy.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to varied interests and abilities.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and organization of events, ensuring timely communication and preparation.
• Other duties as assigned
