Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking an Activities & Events Coordinator to oversee and develop resident programs across our community. You will plan, schedule and run activities that address physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual well-being for residents, coordinating closely with staff and families.

The role requires strong communication, organization and creativity, with a focus on enriching daily life for residents in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology or related field preferred.
• It is preferred to have one to three years of experience in assisted living or long term care working with memory care patients.
• Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and oversight of resident activities.
• Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for residents.
• Attend community planned functions and coordinate events from start to finish including setup and breakdown.
