Job summary

The Grand Residence at Upper St. Clair is seeking an Activities Assistant for part-time daylight, evenings, and some weekend shifts. The role supports planning, scheduling, and implementing activities to meet residents' social, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs.

Occasional coordination with outside groups may be required. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in activity planning within assisted living or long-term care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least one year of experience planning social and recreational programs in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Fluent English speaking and writing; empathy and listening; ability to work independently; good time management; professional dress, speech, and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules activities; ensures resident participation and safety.
• Ensures documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
• Communicates with residents about participation and satisfaction.
• Maintains equipment and activity spaces to standards.
• Trains and monitors volunteers.
