Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Longmont, CO is hiring an Activities Assistant/Driver for a full-time, on-site role at $20/hour. You will support activity programs for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents and may drive company vehicles for outings.

We value compassionate, service-oriented individuals who can coordinate calendars, engage residents, and collaborate with teams across departments. Excellent patient care and a clean DMV record are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Job Knowledge: Awareness of special needs and dimensions of wellness for older adults; ability to engage residents with different interests and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing programs for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care resident groups and individual activities.
• Maintain a balance of recreational activities.
• Facilitate group activities, 1-1 visits, community events that engage residents, families and team members.
• Help coordinate scheduled activities with other departments.
• Communicate residents’ programs to residents, families, volunteers, and staff.
• Prepare monthly Life Enrichment calendars reflecting residents’ interests and abilities, with varied morning/afternoon/evening/weekend hours.
• Organize activity supplies and equipment to ensure materials are available.
• Prepare monthly progress reports on activity programs.
• Invite and assist residents to and from activities.
• May assist residents on outings including driving company vehicles.
• Demonstrate core values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
• Ability to recognize changes in residents requiring nursing intervention and report to Wellness Director.
