Job summary

Mosaic Management is seeking an enthusiastic Activity and Event Assistant to support our senior living community's life enrichment program. You will help plan daily activities and special events, coordinate volunteers, and foster joyful connections with residents and their families.

The role emphasizes planning, empathy, teamwork, and a can-do attitude to create a vibrant community atmosphere and meaningful experiences for residents each day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience assisting with resident activities, event coordination, or group facilitation in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of dementia care basics and activity planning.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with volunteer coordination or community engagement programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading engaging daily activities and special events.
• Support programs that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being, including Thrive Montessori-based programming.
• Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families.
• Prepare activity materials and maintain activity spaces.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Document participation and contribute ideas to enhance programming.
• Support holiday celebrations, themed events, and community outings.
• Collaborate with other departments to create a vibrant community atmosphere.
