Job summary

Lawrenceville Health & Rehabilitation in Lawrenceville, VA, is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and lead daily recreational activities for our residents in a full-time role. You will encourage participation, adapt activities to individual needs, and promote social interaction, creativity, and physical well-being.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with great communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage residents in a variety of activities.
• Compassionate and patient approach to working with seniors.
• Prior experience in recreation, activities, or a skilled nursing/long-term care setting is a plus (but not required!)

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading daily recreational activities and special events.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet their individual needs.
• Help promote social interaction, creativity, and physical well-being.
• Provide support in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Work collaboratively with the Activities Director and care team to create a positive environment
