Job summary

Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to support residents at Mayflower Gardens in Lancaster, CA. The role centers on planning engaging activities to foster social connection, wellness, and an active lifestyle for older adults.

The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and creative, capable of building relationships with residents and driving new ideas while collaborating with the management team to maintain a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults, resident activities, recreation, hospitality, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a variety of resident activities, programs, outings, and special events.
• Develop and maintain a monthly activities calendar.
• Organize social events, games, holiday celebrations, educational programs, fitness and wellness activities, and resident outings.
• Develop new activities based on resident interests and encourage participation.
• Build positive relationships with residents and promote participation in community activities.
• Coordinate with vendors, entertainers, instructors, volunteers, and community organizations.
• Assist with decorating and preparing community spaces for events and activities.
• Promote upcoming programs and events throughout the community.
• Take photos and help highlight resident activities and special events.
• Maintain activity supplies and work within the established activities budget.
