Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HIPAA regulations familiarity and ability to maintain resident confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with residents at all levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Creates and adheres to a monthly activity calendar.
• Speaks to and interacts with residents at all levels of care while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
• Coordinates special events for residents, families, staff, and assists the community relations department as requested.
• Transports and supervises residents on outings, shopping trips, and doctor’s visits.
• Screens, recruits, trains, and coordinates all volunteers.
• Provides training, guidance, and support to staff to meet established performance standards and expectations.
• Acts as facilitator and takes minutes at resident council meetings.
• Follows up on concerns discussed at resident council meetings.
