Job summary

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking a energetic Recreation Aide to lead activities and enrich residents' lives. This full-time role supports cognitive, physical, and social programs for seniors.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate, with a desire to work in a team with older adults. Shifts include 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative with a passion for working with the elderly.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Previous experience with a geriatric/adult population preferred.
• Compassionate, outgoing, and team-oriented personality.

Responsibilities

• Lead small and large group recreation activities, including cognitive enrichment, physical fitness, and social engagement programs.
• Assist with planning and running monthly events, festivities, and special celebrations.
• Organize activities based on residents’ individual interests and abilities.
• Ensure resident safety, confidentiality, and dignity at all times.
