Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to support daily programs and enrich the lives of residents at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will help lead activities, prepare calendars, and assist with newsletters while ensuring safety and participation during events.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and organization, and the ability to lead small groups. A valid driver’s license may be needed depending on assignment and location.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead small group activities.
• Valid driver’s license, as applicable.
• Senior living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
