Job summary

Arbor Hills Nursing & Rehab in Ferguson, MO seeks a compassionate Activities Assistant to plan and run resident activities, prep snacks, and assist with dining setup. The role requires weekends, holidays, and evenings, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and strong employee benefits.

You will work with a small care team to create engaging programs, document logs, and help residents stay connected in a supportive community setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 college credits in NCCAP-related study preferred.
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• NCCAP Certification preferred.
• Must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.
