Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in therapeutic recreation.
• Knowledge of medical documentation practices.
• Supervisory or leadership experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of the needs of the elderly population through direct experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting resident activities and special events.
• Develop and maintain activities reflecting residents' interests, needs, and abilities.
• Support creation of individualized activity plans upon resident admission.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Supervise activity staff and assist with departmental leadership responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Lead and participate in recreational activities, including exercise programs, games, entertainment, and special events.
• Promote resident engagement and participation in programs and activities.
