Gardens At Paulding is seeking an Activities Aide to support residents at Paulding Care Community in Paulding, OH. You will help plan and lead daily recreation programs designed to enhance physical, cognitive and social well‑being. The role requires compassion, excellent communication, and the ability to tailor activities to diverse abilities.

A high school diploma is required; prior experience is preferred but not mandatory. Benefits include health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in activities coordination or working with elderly preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creativity and enthusiasm in developing and leading engaging activities.
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Activity Planning by organizing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for residents.
• Lead and oversee group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and exercise programs.
• Encourage participation and engage residents individually to promote involvement.
• Adapt activities to mobility and cognitive levels and personal preferences.
• Document resident attendance and participation levels per facility policies.
• Prepare activity spaces and ensure safety and cleanliness after sessions.
• Assist in organizing special events like holidays and family nights.
